I have spent a lot of time considering the Hardmoors 110 race this weekend, its 111 days away, now that sounds quite soon but it is just under a third of a year,so I have time to recce the route and hopefully get my weekly mileage up to somewhere around 75 miles.
Today's run was tough, 12 miles with Ripon Runners and 8 on my own. The last 3 were a real battle not to give up as yesterday"s 15 mile road run, coached swim and turbo session were taking their toll. Running tired will be the order of the day on the 6th and 7th of May, so I carried on. The run was mainly off-road with lots of slippy sticky mud, so good practice really.

and to Markenfield Hall. When we were almost back into Ripon I left the group and headed for the Muddy Boots race route. It was very muddy, the horses have really churned the tracks up. From there I ran into Studley, it was good to be back running there.I then ran back into Ripon via Hell ath and Whitcliffe Lane.
I feel I have had a very productive first fortnight's training, lets hope it continues.
