Saturday was the re-run of Ripon Runners Jolly Holly Jog, It was cancelled back in December due to ice and snow. I was Marshalling and you couldn't have wished for a better day, bright and warm. The 10 km race went without a hitch, It was great to see everyone running, I dont normally see many runners from my usual running position near the back.
Sunday was race day for me at Arkendale, a 10km multi terrain, again the weather was bright and sunny I even caught the sun on my face, it was quite warm at times. I had a time to beat from last year 56:25, which I did by 13 seconds. So I'm really happy with that. I also met the lovely Old Running Fox, a fellow blogger, who is much faster than me
Now it is definitely taper time for me.
Here is last weeks training

Well done on beating your old time in the 10k.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the taper and good luck for the VLM remember to drink lots of Water!
It was nice meeting you at Arkendale, only the third blogging acquaintance I've ever met!
ReplyDeleteIt was a smashing little course and, judging by your post-race smiles, you enjoyed it as much as me. I'm sure you'll enjoy 'London' just as much if you run relaxed and trust the training effect of all the hard work you've put in. Good luck!
